At least something appeared!

They said it would not happen. They said these would only occupy space in our little garden.
And, guess what, they were right! This is what’s appeared after two months of me defying the weather and the odds and sowing cucumber!
Of course, I am not amused.
But, on the other hand, I am quite satisfied something’s appeared, however tiny – and disfigured – the fruit is.
Perhaps, over the next few days, these will grow into something edible and make me present to the skeptics a few trophies of my labour!
Strange are the ways of nature. Plants seem to know when they have to thrive and flourish, so unlike the human race, which takes things for granted.
A lesson to be learnt, isn’t it?
