On a hoof and a gallop

DSC_1838 DSC_2529 DSC_2626 DSC_3234Horses are majestic animals but I saw how good looking and graceful they are when I had an opportunity to be present during a training session at the police stables in Bahrain. Spanish and Arabian horses at the state-of-the-art facility, guided by expert riders and trainers, presented a show to remember.
The best part was, and officers and men deserve all praise for that, was they did any numbers of re-runs for me to capture the perfect pictures!
Here are just a handful of those I found to be winners.
Bahrain is known as the home of the Arabian or Arab horse that originated on the Arabian Peninsula. With a distinctive head shape and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most easily recognizable horse breeds in the world.
It is also one of the oldest breeds, with archaeological evidence of horses in the Middle East that resemble modern Arabians dating back 4,500 years.
