After many months today, I visited Bahrain’s Northern coastline in Budaiya. And for the first time I noticed these incredibly colourful domes of a mosque as I made my way back. I might have seen this several times before but it never really registered but what made it so conspicuous today was perhaps a new paint job on the structure, which made it ‘stand out’ in the late afternoon sun. A ‘under renovation’ sign was also seen at the entrance, as was scaffolding, signifying a complete overhaul was in progress.
Bahrain has some very beautiful mosques, adorned with intricate designs and carvings but I have never taken any pictures of these. Perhaps, with this beginning I will begin to, and those snapshots will be on this blog as well.
A slight change from taking photographs of nature, wildlife and the sun is in order, albeit temporarily. Will try to do justice to this new ‘vocation’.
