DSC_6407Sticking with the subject of the (rare) rain in Bahrain, another casualty was (and still is), the country’s only real cricket ground – at the Awali township. Anything more than an hour of rain and the entire playing area turns into a huge lake which can sometimes takes days to come back to its original state i.e. if there are no more showers.DSC_6397DSC_2670
Sad for cricket enthusiasts in this tiny island nation where only those many facilities exist to play the gentleman’s game and whatever there are could be better called rocky and sandy patches of uneven surface tucked away on the country’s southern and central areas.
