Falconry, the hunting of wild quarry in its natural state and habitat with a trained bird of prey, remains an important part of the Arab heritage and culture, with nations reportedly spending millions of dollars annually towards the protection and conservation of wild falcons.
Every year, falcon beauty contests and demonstrations take place all over the region.
